... since I've picked up the Nikon. 

I've been busy building a blog and trying to get an audience for "Ordinary Handsome". I even let my premium membership fall by the wayside. Sheesh.

It's been a busy couple of months, what with new job responsibilities and maintaining a steady pace of writing and blogging. Book sales have not been great and it's sent me into a bit of a creative tailspin. So I'll be picking up the camera a little more frequently and revisiting all my Deviant friends... I hope you haven't forgotten about me.

It's been a semi-relaxing week of vacation. I was busy social networking, setting up a Twitter account and a website for "Ordinary Handsome". Today was the first day I've actually picked up the Nikon and it felt good in my hands. I apologize for not visiting before now, but it's been hectic. Thanks to everyone who gave me birthday wishes last week... it was an incredible outpouring of support and encouragement. Thank you all!

I've set the camera aside for awhile as I focus on "Ordinary Handsome"... a project that's been a big part of my life for a long time. I'm planning to publish it to Amazon very soon, but first I have to get my proverbial ducks in a row: a brand new website, Facebook and email accounts, etc., exclusively dedicated to shameless self-promotion. They're all necessary evils in order to get the book out there and distributed and recognized. This is a whole new experience for me, and I expect some bumps on the road, but I'm also excited. 
The camera won't be far from my side, and I'll still contribute a photo from time to time; certainly I'll  try to keep up with all the amazing work that shows up every day, gladly and enthusiastically offering my comments and faves.
So if I'm a little less visible, it's not because I've lost interest... it's because this is a project that's been with me for 20+ years. Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and support... you know who you are.
